URGENT:Full Closure of Sacred Heart Church

Yesterday (23rd March 2020), Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new emergency measures especially ordering everyone to STAY AT HOME. To enable us as a parish, comply and encourage others to do the same, we have now come to a “painful and difficult” decision to close the Sacred Heart Church, Hillsborough to the public until further notice. The Church and the access to the memorial garden are now closed.

Due to the COVID-19 virus from Friday 20th March all Masses and public worship will be suspended.

No Masses will take place until further notice after this date.

Catholics are dispensed from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass for the duration of these measures.

Weddings & Baptisms will go ahead as planned.

The church will be open for private prayer on Saturday mornings.

You are encouraged to make spiritual communion and to watch live-streaming of Mass via the internet.
