Live Streaming Privacy Notice
At Sacred Heart Catholic Church, we offer live streaming of selected services to help those who are unable to attend in person. This notice explains how we manage privacy and participation during live streams.
What We Stream
- Feast Days and Holy Days may be live streamed via our public YouTube channel. These streams are not recorded or stored.
- Private celebration services (such as funerals, weddings, and christenings) are live streamed via unlisted YouTube links, which can be accessed only by those with the link.
Privacy Considerations
- The camera is positioned to primarily show the sanctuary. The back half of the church is not visible.
- We aim to avoid filming during communion. If you prefer not to appear on camera, you are welcome to sit towards the rear of the church.
- Notices will be displayed in church when a service is being live streamed.
Availability
Live streaming is operated by parish volunteers and may be subject to their availability. We aim to stream major feast days and special celebrations when possible.
Bookable Streaming for Private Celebrations
We are pleased to offer live streaming of
funerals, weddings, baptisms, and celebration Masses on request. These are streamed privately via an unlisted YouTube link and are not recorded.
A suggested donation of
£50 is invited to help support the church’s equipment and volunteer coordination costs.
Consent
Those involved in the liturgy—such as altar servers, readers, and Eucharistic ministers—will be asked to give written consent before participating in streamed services. For under 18s, parental or guardian consent is required.
👉 You can find and download the necessary consent forms on our
Consent Forms Page.
Disclaimer
Please note: While we make every effort to ensure a smooth live stream, this service is provided by volunteers and may occasionally be affected by technical issues or internet disruptions. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or successful streaming. Thank you for your understanding.
