Parish Accounts and Financial Information
Parish Accounts 2025
The parish accounts for 2025 are available on the parish notice board and on the website.
The accounts show the parish income and expenditure for the calendar year, compared to the previous year, and the amount owed to the Diocese.
Parish income for the year was £74,812 (2024: £83,891) and parish expenditure was £66,525 (2024: £101,956). At 31 December 2025, the bank balance was £22,555 (2024: £14,549), whilst the balance due to the Diocese was £28,111.
During the first five months of the current year, significant expenditure has been incurred in the presbytery repairing the central heating system and replacing doors to improve security, which has resulted in a decrease in the bank balance by approximately 50%.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid receipts received from HMRC during 2025 were £8,642.
Any taxpayers who have not currently made a Gift Aid declaration covering their donations to the parish are encouraged to do so. It is a cost-free way, to you personally, to increase your donations. For every £1 you donate, the parish is able to reclaim 25p from HMRC from the tax you have paid.
It requires the completion of a simple form, which is available from the parish secretary. The information you provide will be handled confidentially.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone for their financial support of the parish, especially in these difficult times where inflationary pressures are increasing everyone’s cost of living.
The parish is not immune from these pressures, so your donations are very much appreciated.
