We’re making it easier than ever before to donate to Sacred Heart, you can now give by card or mobile in church. This means you don’t need to worry about having cash on you. It also reduces the time of volunteers and the risks they take having to physically carry and bank cash.

Tap to Donate – Use Your Contactless Debit Card / Phone

We have a Tap to Donate terminal at the back of church where you can make an offertory donation using any major debit or credit card, you can also use Apple Pay or Android Pay on your phone.

It only takes a couple of taps of the screen and a tap of your card on the card reader to donate. It really is that easy!

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, you can also enter your details after you’ve donated and the Parish will be able to receive an extra 25p per £1 you donate back from the Government. The great news is that you only need to do this once, the machine then remembers that any donation you make with the same card is Gift Aidable. Gift Aid costs you nothing and helps to bring in thousands of pounds each year that helps to keep Sacred Heart open.

Is it safe?

Please be assured that the card reader is the same system used in businesses across the UK to safely process card payments and it is bank grade secure. The donation app is used by charities across the UK.

We still have a traditional basket collection before the offertory  procession during Mass where you are welcome to make a cash donation.
