Children’s Liturgy

First Holy Communion and Sacrament of Reconciliation
Sacred Heart runs an annual parish-based programme of preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist, leading up to their First Confession and First Holy Communion. All children within the Parish (year 3 upwards) are welcome to join the programme, particularly those who do not attend a Catholic school. A separate programme takes place for older children as required. See here for latest details and information about when registration will open.
Confirmation
Confirmation is offered to young people during their secondary School education who are prepared to make a commitment to the faith given to them in baptism. There is a Confirmation preparation programme led by volunteers. See here for more details.
