Lives to inspire
Lenten Prayers using Ignatian Spirituality. Sacred Heart Hillsborough Prayer Group Prayer group
Thursday Evening 7.30pm for about 1 hour. Online using Zoom follow the link if you want to attend: Lenten Prayer meeting.
During Lent we will be using contemplative prayer exercises from the Glasgow Ignatian Centre and spend time reflecting on the lives of the following Saints:
- 23 February: St. Ignatius
- 2 March St. Teresa of Avila
- 9 March: St Francis Xavier
- 16 March: St. Hilda of Whitby
- 23 March: St. Julian of Norwich
- 31 March: St. Hildegard from Bingen
- 6 April is Maundy Thursday and there will be no meeting this evening.
Each evening we take time to settle into prayer; Find out about the life of the saint. There might be some scripture or a poem, or a picture. Everybody will then spend 10-15min with these resources. Followed by 15-20min of sharing insights with those attending.
